Is Microsoft supporting legacy serial ports?? My Icom R8500 radio

only has serial port and I would appreciate being able to use windows 8 for it really grows on me very nicely.

I have a Lenovo 7244-A35 ThinkCentre M58 which has a serial port. In windows 8 I see PCI Serial Port with error asterisk and no driver found.

The description is as follows: Device PCIVEN_8086&DEV_2E17&SUBSYS_304717AA&REV_033&18d45aa6&0&1B was configured.

I tried to attach a Belkin FSU103 USB to Serial device to see what happens. Same Issue
